Introduction
 While performing the task of for the past three years from 2009, this research team surveyed a total of 283 Joseon paintings by directly visiting their sites in Japan, China, and Korea. As a result, this team could catalog a total of 202 paintings of the early days of Joseon Dynasty in the 15th and 16th centuries located in foreign countries and a total of 21 paintings of the early days of Joseon Dynasty located in Korea. This research team also deconstructed, among the surveyed paintings, a total of 166 paintings, including new data. In addition, this team collected and reorganized the literature data, which are necessary for complementing and reorganizing the paintings of the early days of Joseon Dynasty, and developed and compiled new records. Focused on the literary collections of scholar-officials, the leading group of the formation of paintings, among the literature data of the early days of Joseon Dynasty, this team prepared aliterature list about the paintings in the early days of Joseon Dynasty by selecting, extracting, and organizing the contents related with the author, title, subject, and theory of the paintings and compiled massive amount of data composed of 931 pages (A3) by making a total of 2,615 relevant article contents in texts.
