Introduction
From this research project, 55,236 terms were structurally defined, relationships among terms andproperties were built, and, based on the definitions and the relationships, the “Structural Terminology Net (STNet, http://stnet.re.kr, http://structurm.org)” was established. We also developed the “STNet Taxonomy”, the “STNet Relational Predicates” and the “STNet Implementation Guideline”. The “STNet Taxonomy” consists of 7 basic conceptual categories (classes), 27 midium level categories, 115 first base subcategories and 28 second base subcategories. The 7 basic conceptual categories are the classes of Object, Activities/Function, Characteristic, Theory/Method, Form/Frame, General/Commons, and Instance. The “STNet Relational Predicates” include 97 refined predicates of hierarchical, equivalent, and associative relation. The “STNet Implementation Guideline” consists of principles for selecting and defining terms, describing name to theplace and era, and using the glossary builder.

We will open the product of project, STNet database, to any public institutions, thus, we expect that the institutions could improve their information service systems and avoid overlapping investments by applying STNet database. Especially, as STNet database was constructed with the author keywords from KCI papers, STNet will be useful in searching the KCI papers which include the keywords as search results of STNet by the complex combination of semantic relation.
