Introduction |
|
"Materials research on maritime accidents during the return of Korean forced labors and the return policy" which was supported by Korea Research Foundation from 2013 to 2015, is related to the maritime accidents while the Korean forced labors were returning home during the Japanese colonial period. The research team collected more than 10 thousand pages of data including 811 cases or 5,656 pages of Japanese data, 1,179 cases or 3,707 pages of GHQ documents and 366 cases of Korean documents.
The collected materials were established as a online database system for the users to utilize them easily. Anyone who cares about the return policy of the US military government and the Japanese governmen after the defeat of Japanese imperial can access the online database. DB resources are expected to be used as educational materials, evidence of litigation claims against Japan and raw materials for academic researches.
