Introduction
 This Hebrew and Greek grammatical terminology database is a comprehensive and synthetic “Explanations and Illustrations” for the grammatical terms of the Biblical Hebrew (and Aramaic) which are a branch of the ancient Semitic languages and of theKoine Greek in the New Testaments which is a branch of the Indo-European languages.
This digital database contains 1,039 grammar terms necessary for learning and studying Bible languages according to the order of (1) Korean name, (2) English name, (3) definition, (4) explanation, (5) usage and example sentences, (6) semantic relations between terms, (7) related reference articles and books.
In particular, this DB is aimed at grammatical interpretation of the Bible through inter-diciplinary studies of Hebrew, Greek, Korean, and general linguistics.
Expect Effect / Research Utilization
 This grammar terminology database can be used as follows.
First, although the Biblical Hebrew (and Aramaic) and Koine Greek ​​have
different grammatical systems and syntactic functions, but through this database the grammatical terms of each language can be studied in comprehensive and integrated ways.
Second, modern days grammatical terms of the Hebrew and Greek in many occasions tend to use different terms for the same contents, so they are unified in the most appropriate terms in this database.
Third, modern days grammatical terms of the Hebrew and Greek are highly specialized, combined with new knowledge from the linguistics, this database promotes understanding by providing appropriate linguistic explanations to general readers.
Fourth, the research on the ancient Semitic Bible Hebrew (and Aramaic) and Indo - European Koine Greek grammatical terminologies in this database will provide a useful foundation for the research on general linguistics and Korean grammar in the future.
Fifth, this database is practically efficient to search by either Korean or English.
Sixth, this database provides the usage of the grammatical terms in the
biblical terms with biblical verse, text, translation and explanation, so it is useful for grammatical and exegetical analysis of the biblical texts.
Seventh, since the semantic relations between grammatical terms are given with related words in terms of synonym, higher word, lower word, one can study the related terms and concepts.
Last but not least, this database will be helpful for further grammatical studies with references attached to the terms.
